Research Interests and Goals

Current research interests include:

o Multicultural Music in Education - representation and implementation

o Impact of Music in Public Schools on Communities

o Orchestral Repertoire Outside European Standards

o Music Advocacy and Program Building

Regardless of what specific topic I am researching, I want to use this information to be an advocate for the arts. American culture especially tends to view everything as a business, and if that business does not bring in enough money it simply gets cut. I want to use my research to show schools and communities why the arts, and specifically music, are vital to societal growth and stability.
